Ballet
Ballet is an art form created by movement of the human body.
It is theatrical - performed on a stage to an audience utilizing costumes, scenic design and lighting.
It can tell a story or express a thought or emotion. Ballet can and should be magical, exciting, provoking and above all beautiful.
At LDA we teach the UKA syllabus which although very structured, also allows opportunities for the students' individual creativity to be developed. A good ballet grounding with emphasis on strong technique is the basis for all other forms of dance.
