This can be done through learning poems, monologues, devising pieces and many more activities which can then either be performed on stage or used as part of an exam.

Jazz

Jazz

Jazz dance originated in America in the early twentieth century.

It is built on early African/American dance with a performance technique rooted in ballet. Nowadays, the term "jazz dance" is more commonly used to describe the work of choreographers such as Bob Fosse and Jerome Robbins and has little to do with jazz music. It is stylized, energetic and enormous fun.

It is often seen in Musical productions and can be quite theatrical and energetic.
